Check out this monster of a Sarr I just got from Matt! He calls it a beast, I'm inclined to agree.
In front is the reverse cross, oreophila x leucophylla, but mine already went to phyllodia. This wee beastie even had a flower stalk starting! (I clipped it, it wouldn't have been worth keeping) I'm only about 200 miles southeast and 1.7 degrees lower in latitude than Matt, so that tells you how well he takes care of his plants.
It will be neat to compare them next year.
S. leucophylla x oreophila, and it's all of 30+ inches. I was shocked when it arrived, not expecting this, that, and everything in between.
