Yes, badmephisto is the best guide you can get to learn how to solve it. After you've learnt the beginner's method, he has other videos on speedcubing methods and stuff which is really useful.
Another guide people may prefer is http://www.youtube.com/user/pogobat but his way of teaching how to solve it is different to the normal methods so moving onto F2L and OLL and stuff is pretty hard to do since you have to change your cubing method.
