Hi everyone

From last Nov, I tried my VFT and Intermedia dormant outside of my house.

In South Korea, especially northen part where I live, the degree gets down to -17c during the winter season.

I only offer my plants the house to block the rain/snow and freezing cold wind and put them outside.

As you can see the pic I attatched, it gets very cold like -15c and gets above freeze again in the afternoon almost every day.

So far, almost finished winter, my plants looks alive.

My conclusion from this winter dormancy is this.

1. No need to overcare for dormant plants such as VFT. They are strong enough to endure freezing cold.

2. You can still use tray method during the winter if you put the plants outside. When you put the plants outside, you don't have to worry about dampness because of the sunlight which can kill the mold.

3. Just be careful of direct cold wind/snow/rain.

Hope many people don't worry about winter care for VFT !
