Hi,
For the past 3 weeks or so, some of my VFT have been having growing issues and their leaves or just growth in general looks quite stunted or little. It's about 3 out of the 5 that I have, even though the 2 healthier looking ones do have some small growth too, just not as bad.
I bought them roughly about 4 to 8 weeks ago (some 4 some 8). Water I use is rain water with a TDS of 10 roughly and currently 10 as I just tested it. On peat moss and perlite 50/50 with a small amount of propagating sand and kept moist at all times as I sit them on about 1/2 an inch of water.
Sun wise, they're outside and get roughly at least 6 hours of sunlight.
Now, I do suspect something but because I am not 100% sure, I'm posting my concern on this forum.
I live in Brisbane, Australia and it can get very hot outside. About high 80's to low 100's. So I was wondering, if out under the sun for so long, it may have heated the water and the pots and subsequently the roots which potentially is hurting the plant?
The pots are plastic but that cheap thin plastic that everyone uses.
Here are some pics of the plants. Don't mind the Utricularia.
Thank you in advance
NB: I've decided just in case to keep them outside but under my porch roof so that they don't get direct cooking sun for a few weeks to see whether they start growing better.
