Hi everyone,
I have a small Venus flytrap that is currently dormant.
A few weeks ago, I noticed for the first time that a couple of traps had turned yellow and thought it was due to overwatering so I decided to let the soil dry for a bit.
I waited two weeks before watering the plant again. Last Sunday I added a small quantity of distilled water to the tray which the plat absorbed quickly. I then added some more and left the plant alone for three hours (this plant grows outside). When I returned, only minimal water remained at the bottom of the tray. I decided to get rid of it to avoid overwatering.
Things seemed fine this time, but after two days I noticed that one of the traps had started turning yellow again, as seen in the pictures.
Can anyone please tell me if this is a sign of overwatering or something else?
I know that Venus flytraps can lose several traps during dormancy, but mine does so shortly after I water it so I am concerned it might be my fault.
Thanks in advance.
