So about a month ago this guy decided to grow like this

I go out there today and there’s traps on each one!!

I read online that it IS possible to trim these off and grow them independently, but I’ve never done that before. I actually only recently tried to grow from seeds and that seems to have succeeded so now I’m all excited and encouraged to keep trying stuff lol

Anyway, how do I go about snipping those little guys to give them the best chance?

Cut the stalk, trim it to about an inch under the plantlet and stick the cut end in the media up to the base of the plantlet. Put the new pot into a tray and keep it more wet than a normal VFT, then wait.

I like to leave the plantlets on the flower stalk for as long as the stalk is in good condition (to let them get as big as possible), then cut them off with a bit of the stalk and plant them in damp-to-wet sphagnum moss. Since they don't have roots yet, I keep them in bright, indirect light for 3-4 weeks and then start acclimating them to direct sun. If you're using grow lights, then put them near the edges where the light isn't as intense.
