Finally obtained a few of these. By far some of the most difficult Sarracenia to get a hold of in the States. More easily available in Europe and Australia. S. ‘Sorrow’ with its blood splatter cross is sinisterly beautiful.

Honestly how do you find most of these? When I try looking up most of them they’re in Europe.

Also lovely as always.

Definitely by luck from fellow growers. I find that Europe has some of coolest carnivorous cultivars there is and they surpass most of the American cultivars. Diflora and Araflora in Europe have an excellent selection of obscure varieties. Unfortunately majority of the foreign shops won’t ship to the USA. As far as I know, only Diflora and WacksWickedPlants will ship to the USA.
I was able to obtain Drosera Arcturi tissue culture that was shipped from Ukraine. Not really a species anyone grows or sells nor talks much about. It’s a gorgeous plant and my tissue culture has produced a handful of established individuals. Possibly due to its infamous difficulty to grow from what I’ve read, but so far so good.

I don’t think Sarracenia ‘Sorrow’ technically qualifies for that contest as it’s a possible 3 or 4 generation result of a hybrid between Sarracenia Purpurea ssp. purpurea f. heterophylla and Sarracenia Flava var. rugelii. I’ll probably submit a photo of S. ‘Sorrow’ in the future though!
