For some reason, I've been getting a lot of grey fluffy mold in some of my pots this year. I've also been talking about cinnamon to combat mold for years now, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to give photographic evidence on what you can expect from a simple cinnamon spray.

After 8 days (the droplets disappeared after the initial spraying, they're almost totally back now).

Wow! :o That is a dramatic difference. So I think I read on the refrigerator dormancy thread that someone used it as a fungicide spray for that too?

Out of curiosity is there anything like that that you wouldn’t use that on, and how do you prepare it?

Powder or root, how much dilution in distilled or ro or whatever you use as a water source? Maybe if there’s any issue with it not wanting to mix with water how you deal with that or just give it a good shake up right before spray. Things like that. That is really quite amazing, and I feel like using a natural pop product instead of one packed with chemicals where you can is likely better.

I can second evenwind, cinnamon is a great antifungal, and is esp. useful in the fridge, around pets, Rattus rugrattus, or anywhere you might not want to use anything that could possibly have unfortunate consequences.

Using a tincture of cinnamon?

I think 'tincture' is officially something dissolved in alcohol. I use a teaspoon (IIRC) of cinnamon steeped in a quart of distilled water overnight and then strained through a coffee filter. The result smells wonderful and doesn't clog my spray bottle.
