What's the Difference Between Pygmies?

So I grow a couple of closely related species, verrucata, micrantha, and roseana. However I cannot really see a large difference between them. So what are the distinguishing characteristics between them?

Flower color, and precise shapes and placement of leaves, as a general rule. I couldn't reliably tell most (non-blooming) pygmies apart if you gave me an hour and a reference book, mind you- about the only one I can conclusively pick out is D. scorpioides.
