Any suggestions what to do with this plant? It’s had a major growth spurt and is sending roots out of this 4.5”X4.5” pot. What sized pot would you folks recommend? It has a lot of undergrowth that has expired too. Plus it now has three divisions, would you try to separate them and repot as individual plants? Any tips would be helpful.

It is obviously out of control and will soon be taking over your domicile. Your best bet is to send it to me to dispose of properly! Other than that, I have no advice.

If you're not going to take Panguy's sage advice, I'd leave it as a specimen. Assuming the medium is in good shape, slip pot it into the next size pot (5.5"?, 6"?). I'd also chop off that thick root that's hanging out of the bottom and use it to attempt root propagation. That way you'll have both a specimen and a bunch of babies.

Thanks. This plant didn’t do much in its first year… Then out of nowhere it’s jack and the beanstalk vile

Thanks! I took a root clipping when I first potted this plant two years ago and here is the result. I know that these Brazilian sundews are very finicky, that’s why I hesitate to separate the divisions

Impressive specimen! Grao isn't as picky about conditions as some other South American Drosera. I'd recommend upgrading the pot size. Shouldn't be too hard to separate off chunks as long as each growing point already has one or two thick roots attached.
