So I've been feeding my gigaflora and vulgaris butterworts some worms because they haven't caught anything in a while. I found a slug and some eggs in my garden. I fed the eggs to my sundews and butterworts. I also killed the slug and put it on one of the butterworts for revenge for eating an orchid. The butterwort leaf was digesting it for a couple of days then died. Is this normal or are slugs the ultimate carnivorous plant predator and even their body's are an anathema to the plants?

Mine seem to feed on gnats or that size prey, a slug is pretty meaty compared to a gnat.
