Is it possible to skip dormancy for Sarrs that have gone dormant for a couple of years? I have a couple plants I am really fond of and would like to show them off over the Holidays. Everything will be in my soon to be completed greenhouse but showing off dormant plants is kind of, well, blah!!!

I’m certainly not an expert, but I’ve come to liken it to a bear going into hibernation. If a bear didn’t hibernate one winter it would most likely live but wouldn’t be as healthy the following year. If it didn’t hibernate for a second year, it would probably not be long for this world. So yes, you could get away with it, but those plants might not be as healthy as their fully-rested friends.

Sorry if your question is already too old but I think you can easily keep Sarrs awake if they're under grow lights by just maintaining a long photo-period. I grow most of my Sarrs from seed and I typically skipped dormancy the first year (trying to get better growth until I learned how to safely fertilize them), but I think the same could work for mature plants. If you just want them to look good for the holidays, you could let them go dormant after.
