Hey all, after much dithering and speculation it turns out that I really do have a madagascariensis. Just the one at this point, but after trying to get seeds to germinate for over a year, I'm not complaining.

Update: this guy is growing up fast. He's almost hitting the top of the seedling dome and will outgrow it in about a week.
The ambient humidity here is between 30 and 40%, but the plant is used to a much higher humidity. I guess I need some advice on getting the plant from 70-80% down to 30% or so. Normally I would just try to phase it in and hope for the best, but I waited a year for this one to sprout and I don't want to stress it out.
Any advice is appreciated, and thanks!

I got my seeds from seed bank Aug. 2023. Sowed them shortly after. I had some come up but then, not paying attention a bunch of Intermedia took over. Fortunately I had a bunch that came up, albeit very slowly. I transplanted a few to a small pot of their own. While they are doing OK, they are nothing like yours. Similar to your first pick but without the vertical growth yet. I guess I need to feed them more. I read that the more you feed them, the more they tend to grow.

I started feeding it more just recently. There's no chance to catch bugs in a seedling dome, so I dropped in a small moth, some fungus gnats, or the occasional ant. In the second picture three of the leaves have bugs in them.
The growth took off big time about two weeks ago, and it's grown almost an inch since I increased the feeding.

Awesome, Gary, I’m so glad you finally got one! And it’s so tall! Mine, which I think were started around the same time but germinated before yours(?), are still fairly short, the tallest being 1.5”. They have access to fungus gnats, though I only see about one desiccated gnat per plant.

They're beautiful and so healthy! Keep feeding them, they'll likely grow larger. Mine may have had an advantage, it was raised in a seedling dome where the humidity is about 70-80%. I have to get it out of there, it's bumping into the top of the dome.
