FlytrapCare Carnivorous Plant Forums

So I have tons of flytraps and they are all doing great but I have one that is starting to worry me. I have seen this before but it happens every once in a while. I figure they catch bugs that find a way to eat there way out. This flytrap has several including a trap that hasn't formed yet so something might be eating my traps from the outside. None of my other plants have any holes in the traps, any suggestions? I will point out I've never had any pest problems with my plants and I've been growing for years. I do have a lot of wasps and my traps and pitcher plant have been eating them consistently

I know that wasps can take plant matter to build their nests, so maybe it’s a wasp? Check them closer and more often and you might find what is making the holes.

To be honest, its most likely ants from my experience. (im not a professional, but ive been keeping them for a little bit at least) I will have ants drill holes just to harvest the food the VFT caught.
