I purchased a "Flexx" from Joels last September. and recieved an unlabeled freebie plant so I messaged Joel to ask the cultivar name of the free plant and he said they were both Flexx - identical clones.
The red plant on the right was labeled as Flexx. The plants are growing next to each other under leds with identical soil, water and light.

Question: Can Flexx have variable traits?

Yes. All cultivars can color up differently and display some different traits even when clones of each other. I had a Louchapates growing side by side in the same pot under the same conditions and the mother plant was much less colorful than the division. I also bought a Flexx from Joel last year and recieved 2 vft. One grew upright and the other stayed prostrate, but I have no doubt that they are both Flexx.
