This is a pic of my D. Capensis "Red" and one of it's leaves split into two. So I'm wondering if someone has experienced this before?

Yes, lots of times on many different Capes.
Sometimes it happens anywhere on the "stem" part, mostly it's seen on the paddle.
In reality, it probably happens much more than is realized, but it's noticed on the paddle more.

About 50 years ago, a guy I know had a toe to split like that. He never mowed grass barefooted again after that!

Well, at least I now know that its normal. I was afraid my plant was sick or something. Thanks for the info.
