Are there veitchii growers here? Have you seen something like that before?

This is my Nepenthes robcantleyi x veitchii BE-3933 which I acquired 3-4 months ago. I keep it in a terrarium with 70-90 percent humidity and temps ranging from 60°F to 80°F. It gets 12 hours of light a day. So far it produced 2 new pitchers and I'm a little worried by their look. It's like they opened too soon and then stopped at some point. The neck is stooped and the lower peristome is not even visible. What do you make of it? What I know for sure is that no one was touching the plant, there are no kids or animals in the house.

Here's an example of how they should look after opening.

The second pitcher looks like some kind of bug has gotten to it. It didn’t open like that did it? I’ll leaf the deformity issue to more experienced growers because I’m not all that experienced with pests.

Strange. My Veitchii only make pitchers like that when they're upset with me... Like when I dumped them on the windowsill with a much too short acclimation time and they were still trying to make pitchers.

But your humidity is too high for that to be the issue...

Maybe it's too high?

Yeah, I mean since I got it. Previous owner said he kept it on a windowsill, but I prefer to keep my neps in a more humid environment--they make bigger and nicer pitchers this way.

I'm gonna keep a closer look at the 3rd pitcher that is now forming and report regularly (you can see it near the 2nd pitcher). Right now I can already make out the wings and the lid. We'll see how it goes this time.

And another two pics. It's growing fast and is already taller than the last pitcher. The neck looks pretty straight, not stooped, and it's still not open so fingers crossed this one will turn out normal.

The wings are starting to unfurl and there's a crease through the middle of the lid, same as on those reddit pictures I linked in the OP. The pitcher will probably open by the end of the week.
