i just repotted it with 60/40 peat moss and perlite without fertilizers added. i noticed before repotting some of the leaves look black is this ok? this is how the plant store sold me it. pic attached

Looks fine. Older, leaves will turn black and die. Watch the new leaves for signs of trouble. If you are in the northern hemisphere, then the plants are going start producing smaller leaves in preparation for dormancy.
