Wow! Those are a lot of pings! I have a decent amount too! Hopefully we can do a trade once I propogate a bunch of mine. I have gracilis and am getting jaumavensis. :geek:

Question: What medium do yours grow in and which species of yours have the most dew/slime?

I would love to get some trades going in a few months when the latest pullings get established.
I’ve been experimenting with different media this winter. After losing a ping to rot and battling a fungus gnat infestation I wanted to go to an all mineral media but ended up with a bunch of chronically dehydrated pings because humidity is so low in the winter. I’m still experimenting. Unsurprisingly the ones with the most dew are in the wettest media. I put a pirouette pulling in a terrarium on wet sphagnum and it’s twice the size of its siblings now. P mesophytica is probably the stickiest in regular room humidity. It’s new to me and still settling in but a very cool plant.

Wow! Very nice! My pirrouette also started producing a lot of dew as well. Cyclosecta and others produce less for me. I’ve been using peat/perlite/vermiculite and they seem to be growing really well, they weren’t producing dew at first but it seems that they needed to be acclimated. Pings are VERY cool! 8-)
