Hey.

Anyone know some good nurseries near Winston-Salem or Greensboro NC?

Thanks!

Blue ridge exotics is in Asheville, not that far away. Normal mail is next day for me so no shock at all.

Yeah, not really. It's 200 miles and a 3-hour drive southeast of Greensboro.

Offhand, I don't know of any carnivorous plant nurseries in that area that are open to the public.

Michael Sprouse is in Cooleemee, about 35 miles southwest of Winston-Salem. He has a big Sarracenia collection. You'd have to contact him to see if he's open to visitors (pm'ed you his e-mail address).

The North Carolina Botanical Garden at UNC - Chapel Hill has a nice carnivorous plant section, but that's a bit east of your destination.

I used to be an OTR truck driver, 3 hours is a jaunt, and definitely within reason.
However, Blue Ridge Exotics is a contender, and I happen to have a hybrid developed by Michael Sprouse, so that is another definite source.
My suggestion would be the Sprouse path if available.

Green Swamp Preserve is AMAZING! It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Winston-Salem. Green Swamp is only an hour-ish away from Stanely-rehder gardens and the Carolina Beach State Park. Carolina Beach has a Flytrap Trail with some VFTs, Drosera, and sarrs. Carolina Beach was only like 5 minutes from where I stayed in NC so I could go see it whenever I wanted!

Found two local nurseries in Ashville that Flytrap King sells to. First stop had some beautiful plants.
