Hi

I have a p.agnata hybrid that I received 3 weeks ago and it is starting to look a bit off. Some of the leaves are dying and I just wondered if I should be doing anything to help it?

I have only used rainwater or water from a dehumidifier when no rain.

I may have point some from above once. Just found out this was wrong thing.

Thanks in advance.

Having said that I fed it a large bluebottle just after I got it. Took a while to digest.that is where most of the die away seems to be. Could that be it.

Looks like it might be recovering from shipping still. I almost always see the older leaves die off and they sometimes only put out smaller non-carnivorous leaves for a couple of months after shipping regardless of the season.

The substrate seems pretty dense and soggy and that can rot the leaves. Could be what is going on with the ones that are going translucent rather than dry and crumbly. Consider switching it to a lighter substrate that drains extremely well if the pot feels wet and heavy.

OK thanks. I let the substrate dry out and it has calmed down a bit in terms of loss of petals seems to have stopped. Will change the substrate however. Thanks
