It's written in the registration rules, but I thought it might be a good idea to put a post in each of the Sales, Trades & Wants forums as well.

Joining the site for solicitation purposes will not be allowed. Any posts that are obviously solicitous will be quickly deleted. If someone is a ACTIVE member of this forum, not a carnivorous plant retailer, tissue culturer, or nurseryman, and CONTRIBUTES to the site in some way, I have no problem with them making a post here about something that they're trying to sell whether it be plants, supplies or even something completely unrelated to growing. However, this forum is not intended to be, nor will it be, a place for retailers to come for free advertising. Nor is it a place to boost your eBay auction price. Please do not post links to eBay auctions.

This website, the forum and the community are all subsidized by the FlytrapStore. Please respect this fact if you are a retailer of carnivorous plants and do not make solicitous posts or advertise your product here. Any posts that are deemed to be free advertising or solicitous will be deleted. This includes linking to any US-based carnivorous plant store in your signature. If you do want to advertise, there are ad spaces on most pages of the site that can be purchase through Google Adwords.

Absolutely! Any member that's active on the site and contributes to the site can feel free to post anything they wish. I just don't want retailers coming here to sign up for an account just to post links to their stores like we just had happen yesterday in the US Sales, Trades & Wants forum. If they want to advertise on the site, they can do so through Google Adwords (the ads I run on the top and bottom of the page).
