I know that this is dumb but…

It’s been years and I’m still mesmerized by the opening of every Nepenthes pitcher. And this one was just so cute! Nestled in the moss like this…

Yeah, it’s a wonderful plant that’s grown on me quite a bit since I got it. The pitchers are just so darn cute!

Maybe one of these days it’ll basal…

I got mine from Bergen Water Gardens in New York. Had to visit to find it, there were only two then.

That is a mikei. I can see why you thought it was a hamata though, the patterning is kinda similar.

I do have a hamata though, it’s just a bit small and unimpressive at the moment. The patterns aren’t really there.

I know what you mean; I have one that’s Jusssttt starting to leaf jump ( nothing too exciting though). “Unimpressive”, PAH! Mine dropped its pitchers right after I got it and it’s been like that since, although, it does have one on the way so hopefully mine will start looking like yours again and soon :)

The plant dropped the pitcher on the right shortly after I took that photograph, just saying. And the developing pitcher shown? It opened to be around half the size of the previous pitcher. These plants hate being moved.

Yours will recover. Mine is also working on it.
