Plant ID?

These plants were at the edge of a large ditch of stagnant water. Very boggy area but no sign of carnivorous plants or sphagnum moss growing nearby. Total three-lobed leaf length is roughly 1/4”. These were carpeting the mud where the water had receded from. Any ideas?

It's a liverwort. More specifically, an crystalwort. Related to mosses and such.

Probably best not to eat a lot of things that you find floating in a ditch. Just sayin'
