Hey all,
I have some OP sarrs that I got about a year ago. One looks like it is producing phyllodia in the middle of summer, while the other is completely healthy and growing well. They sit on my front porch and get about 5 hours of evening sun. It can’t be light deficiency because the Purpurea x Flava-looking cross is growing almost all red and purple pitchers and is going strong.
One thing I noticed about this plant is that it never did well in the first place; Before dormancy it never grew (while the other one was extremely vigorous) and lost all of its pitchers, and it never produced phyllodia until around March - April. It is now starting to produce pitchers, but they look nothing like they did last year.
I am starting to speculate the deformed pitchers are caused by aphids, but am not 100 percent sure as there are no signs of them.
All advice is appreciated,
Max
