S.purpurea: Now this one does not only grows pitchers from the 2 main crowns, but it also grows from other places too! It is also getting darker red each day. Lastly it seems that it grew a lot of roots because it is very stuck to the media.

D.capensis: They are doing fine I guess? It’s my first time growing them. I bought more than 10 plants for just 18€

I'm glad you got the mites under control. I guess they just didn't like the daily showers! :D

all your plants are looking great! Good job! Are those just typical capensis? If they are, they might want a little more light.

I know they need more light, but I have heard that they can’t handle heat (30°C - 35°C). They are also in a kinda deep red pot as you can see and even though it doesn’t get a lot of direct sunlight, it still heats up too much. It would be very nice if people who have more experience with regular cape sundews gave some information.

I think a lot of people bring their capes in when it gets hot outside. My understanding is that they do well with window light.

As for the red pot, if you had a slightly (light colored would be best) larger pot to set the current pot down into it would shade the sides of the red pot. You could even tear up pieces of styrofoam (plates, cups, etc) and slide the pieces down in between the space/gap created between the two pots.
