So I finally hooked up my grow light that I bought months ago. It is a spider farmer sf1000. It is made out of a clothes rack and some $2 sun shields for your car windshield I got at the dollar store lol. I hope this will do until I can get better materials. Also I have no idea what I did with the manual, I took it out when I first got it and now it’s lost. I should be able to maybe find out the specs online somewhere so I can figure out how to calculate par values and distance for plants and stuff. I’m hoping to grow my sarr seeds and vft seedlings under it and also do props. I know the sarr/vft need more light than say the props but don’t want to run the light at max power so I think if I just raise up the pots so they are closer to the light that might work?

That sun shield is a good idea. Regarding your question that’s what I do raise the plants closer as needed.
