Literally just got this guy from lowes, any Idea what cultivar it is? Btw, I like their supplier for flytraps; in one of the cubes I think I saw a M.D. buttchecks.

I’m pretty sure all flytraps sold unlabeled are classified as “typical”.

Also, what’s that it’s potted in?

That's a pretty cool typical.
I say typical because, unless it's sold as a named cultivar from a reputable source, it's a typical.
The one that looks like "Buttcheeks" is just a dirty typical.

You could look over this thread from last month for a fairly in-depth discussion about this exact topic. Point being, they're all typicals. There may be some mixed in occasionally that may be Akai Ryu or Dente since the seller lists those specifically for sale online, but it doesn't matter regardless because they aren't labeled so there's no way to actually know, therefore they're typicals. And honestly, there's no way they'd be tossing any cultivars less common than those in $6 cubes anyway.

I bought a flytrap from Lowe's back in December, and it had a bunch of this stuff in the pot. When I repotted the plant, I saved the HydraFiber and used it as a top-coat on several pots. It does a good job of preventing soil splash.
