how to encourage moss growth on pumice stone?

I bought this pumice stone and wanted to plant drosera on it. it is not soaking up water all the way to the top so I want to wait until there is moss on the rock. is there any way to encourage it to grow faster on the rock? and how do I keep the rock wet?
