Hello everyone,
I acquired P. cyclosecta, P. ehlersiae, and P. gigantea around the same time a couple months ago. The first two seem to be doing well but my P. gigantea ..... well I'm not so sure. I have before and after pic of all three below. The cyclosecta and ehlersiae both got bigger and colored up nicely while the gigantea actually got smaller and the number of leaves it has just seems to be barely maintaining. I have all three in the same conditions next to each other:
Lighting - within a foot under white Yescom light
Soil - perlite/vermiculite/silica sand
Humidity/temp - house level (approx 45% and 75F)
Water - distilled water, bottom watered via tray with time to dry out
No fertilizer used
I saw somewhere that P. gigantea likes more water than the others so I just started to keep it's tray constantly topped with water. I also read that it likes a little mushroom compost mixed into it's soil but I can only find cow manure compost.
My question is how does my P. gigantea look? Am I just worrying too much and should I give it more time or should I try changing something? Also for the compost, would cow manure compost be alright to use?

Your pinguicula looks fine, try not to overwater it (this may cause rot).
In general, CPs despise compost/manure.
Compost/manure is full of nutrients and is considered fertilizer.
Some growers are experimenting with this at small doses, but you probably shouldn't try it unless you have more pings...

That's a relief to hear! I didn't want to try experimenting with compost just yet if I really didn't need to. Maybe next year when I have more pings....

not too much watering for any
especially no fertilizer, it will feed itself with insects
