Hey hey everybody! Ran across this forum doing research on proper layers for a new Venus Flytrap terrarium I am setting up from seeds.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and learn about cultivation of Carnivorous Plants as a hobby.

Welcome.
You'll find many helpful people with lots of useful info. However, you'll not find much support for VFT's in a terrarium. I've not seen a VFT do well in a terrarium without constant and extensive work done to simulate an environment that you get by simply putting it outside in the sun.

Chefknows what talking about regardless the terrarium, do put your flying trap in an invisible container. Do you breath in an apartment, ship, condo, or where you don’t have a secure and sunny coordinate to positio the flytraping outside? U will knead high intimcity radiation for flytraaping to increesh in statute. Injoi!!!

oh, and yes, the addiction has taken many of us by storm. Others, as you can see, have just been "taken".

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Specifically, I am using a 1.0 gal rectangular aquarium that has a cut to size glass top (unsealed) so perhaps terrarium was the wrong word to use…..it is just the label put on the container (and its original use) nothing more….

Will post some pics once I get it built properly…..

Looking forward to “giving into” the “addiction”……used to keep saltwater tanks (nano size) and love the concept of a “micro environment” within my Personal Space. Plus they’re cool AF to just take in visually and appreciate
