How long until my Hamata produces relatively mature pitchers? It has a 2.5 inch leaf span currently although its latest pitcher is still pretty immature. I get that it’s different for different plants but what would you say the average time that yours started or have seen?

Not going to help your inquiry, but the hamata I have is from a cutting. For me, it seems to make the most sense so I could enjoy the plant sooner. It wasn't cheap, but it actually has two growth points

Wow, that’s a peculiar looking pitcher. Thanks for the recommendation, but… um… it’s a bit to late for that now😬

It will be faster if you don't keep worrying about when it'll grow up. Mine is still a baby too, probably even smaller than yours since I bought the smallest size available, but I figure it's best to enjoy the little pitchers while they last as once it matures, you won't be seeing many of those.

That’s a good way to look at things. Except for the odd chance it produces a basal in the future, the baby pitchers are one time thing I guess.
