Hi everyone I’m Ryan! :D I grow two sundews, two flytraps and a pitcher plant, but this is just the start. My smaller flytrap is yellowing and the traps are starting to brown. It’s still growing new fronds and traps but the discoloration is a bit disheartening. Any pointers?

It looks like it needs more light. Don't just put it in full sun right away though. You will need to acclimate it over time.

Are you watering with distilled, RO, or rain water only?
Are you growing it in peat/perlite or is that just regular potting soil?

Yep, that plant is light starved. They need the equivalent of at least 6 hours of direct, unobstructed sunlight, not filtered through a window or screen. If using artificial lights, that typically means 12 to 16 hours of light.

Thank you everyone. I do you a grow light on it too but I’m going to move this one to sunnier spot. The other trap is doing just fine, as well as my other carnivorous plants. I’m using peat and perlite too. May switch my traps to sphagnum moss. My sundew is flourishing in its sphagnum.

Where did you get your peat and perlite? If it is Miracle Gro, you need to replace it asap as Miracle Gro usually adds fertilizers to their soils.
