I got this guy from a death box at Lowe’s the other week.

He was stuffed in the corner, so he is a little bend, and when I was trying to check his root health, I beat up his roots a little more than I’d like to admit :? , but he does have impressively large traps for 10 bucks.

I've seen a few flytraps at Lowes and Walmart this spring. Single flats of them, not the usual multi-flat stacks. Last year what I saw were tight groups of many smaller plants. This year, so far, it seems the plants are larger but only a large one or two in the tubes. Maybe this is normal and later the bunches will show up. FWIW.

It looks good and if it doesn’t have an infection or something it will bounce back and produce nice traps. I have seen a lot of people buying death cube VFTs and when they recover they can produce leaves with beautiful or even rare characteristics.

I will admit, it is a nice, really cheap, local way to buy VFTs, and even sometimes Sarrs, Neps, and Drosera ( though the latter three are usually not as healthy, especially Neps, I would be pouty too if I were an exotic plant stuffed in a no- sunlight death box  )

Same with mine, but I’ve heard a lot about them being in garden centers and such, as well as seen pictures.
