So, I recently bought some live sphagnum as a top dressing for my plants after their spring repot, and to share with my mother and girlfriend, both of whom I've brought into the carnivorous plant hobby..

And while divvying it up, I noticed it came with some hitchhiking Drosera seedlings! This picture is of the biggest one:

I doubt it's old enough to say for certain what it is, but I figured I'd give a shot at seeing what you fine folk think it might be!

Have a good one!

It's most likely to be an etiolated drosera Intermedia or rotundifolia seedling. But it's way too early to tell. Give it some light and food and see what it grows into.

Gonna second it looks most like intermedia or rotundifolia - but that dark red sphagnum is gorgeous! Is that the Meadowview red/purple sphag?

Ha, I didn't expect to have this thread posted in after this time!

Here, have an updated photo as a reward I guess...

(I kinda really need to trim back that green sphagnum...)

The red stuff is probably the same species as Meadowview, but I got it from Carnivorous Plant Nursery! It comes in a nice little sandwich bag with all the heads neatly aligned and apparently some volunteers, I'm very pleased with it! It definitely has wonderful color.
