Hey all,
Just wondering what the germination rate was on the D. regia seed that was in the seed bank a while ago. Anybody?

0 so far, sown last month.

Edit: Wait no 1? Maybe? White part could be first root.

I had about 30% (2 out of 6) but then lost the two seedlings -- they dried out completely while I was upstate visiting the parental units.

I’m missing something here. Did y’all have the pots bagged? Seems like it would take a long time for them to dry out. :(

I did but when I was acclimating them the lower humidity the bag was open. There was one that was somewhat green but won't make it still

It was quicker than I thought. IIRC, it was roughly 2 weeks

I have 9 seedlings so far. The first ones have been up for a few weeks and have tiny leaves with dew but others just germinated in the last week or so.

Okay, thanks to all for your responses and I appreciate the input. When I got my seeds they looked like they may have suffered from a bit of crushing, but since you all have had at least some success, I guess I will just have to be patient and hope for the best.

I've got 3 currently, all sprouted in the past week. Which is nice since it looked like a lot of mine got crushed on the mail.

I didn't. Because I heard so many folks mentioning how easily they rot out, I was afraid the humid stagnant air in a bagged scenario would up the odds of a fungal pathogen.

You too, huh? I hope I have as much luck as you did. Fingers crossed.

Yep, even though the Sarr seeds in the same envelope were 100% fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Good luck with yours!
