If a nepenthes is a ventricosa hybrid, can I assume it will be easy to grow? More specifically, would a veitchii x ventricosa be a good windowsill plant?

I've heard somewhere that fuzzy leaved plants (maxima, veitchii, etc.) are able to handle lower humidity, and ventricosa (from personal experience and popular consensus) seems to be a windowsill weed. In theory, then, a hybrid between the two would grow well on a windowsill.

Well again, I am acclimating it so keep that in mind. My house temps usually seem to always linger around 78 on warmer days and 73 on cooler days. I have about 60% RH year round since I’m on the water. The person I got it from had like 70% RH and an *average* temperature of 77 for their lowland greenhouse. I figured “It’s growing great for them why not aclimate it a little and have it in my bedroom?” I can update its status a little while later if you’d like.

Hopefully your theory is right. Here is a screenshot from https://www.carnivorousplants.co.uk:

I'll be trying to acclimate my veitchii (at least one of them) to the windowsill shortly so we'll see how that goes. I may also try to acclimate some other plants that I've heard can be grown that way.

Search YouTube for Windowsill Nepenthes. Remy has some good videos on ones he would buy from carnivero and other retailers. It will at least help you to learn what he says grows well for him in windowsill..

Update!

I’d say after 5 days of continuous(but slow) growth it’s settled in.
