A lot of these "pontential wants" are definitely "potential" for now.

I also didn't think I'd be as fascinated with Drosera at first, but they're growing on me.

The D. capensis "Albino" x spatulata "Lantau Island" is from Carlton Carnivores on the Carnivorous Plant Resource marketplace.

I have extra D. adelae if you want them. Mine are average size and have cream flowers with red flares in the center. I accidentally tore one of them out while maintaining them recently and now it's just on its own.

A few updates on some.

My Maroon Monster and Trichterfalle x Coquillage are all recovering from repottings. T x C more than the Maroon Monster as it was struggling with some stress before repotting, likely due to humic acid build up (tips of new growth were black and I hadn't been overwatering). The Maroon Monster is actually more vigorous than the T x C anyway, which is odd with it being a red cultivar. The bigger of the T x C in their initial clumping that I separated is growing out a skinny Trichterfalle leaf slowly but surely. I have to remember that plants don't always grow like weeds, so I have to be patient. :')

The Werewolf, Maroon Monster, T x C, and Cape Sundews are all recovering from medium washing. Just ran some clean water through their mediums after doing the paper towel patting and let the orange-ish brown water drain onto a plate and dumped it in a sink. Probably didn't need to do this to the T x C and Maroon Monster but I'm a bit of a worry-wort and impatient. Cape Sundews are the biggest babies so they're pouting with having gotten rid of their goo but are starting to get some back anyway and hopefully won't have leaves turn red from the grow light being so close to them. There's 2 gemmae in with the parent sundew.

Next week(s) I'm sure the ones I put through more than usual will come back just fine.

Added quite a few more drosera to the want list.

Some are available through Curious Plant and Predatory Plants.

Some of these I'd be interested in breeding, if possible. Don't know what D. spiralis x D. filiformis "Dreamsicle" would produce. Hopefully a crazy long tentacle plant. Or D. spiralis x D. capensis.

Currently would love to trade or buy more plants from people here, but I'm trying to focus on my current collection and propagation. Gotta get more consistent dew, trap growth etc so I can trade good plants with y'all.

Added some interesting highland Nepenthes hybrids I saw on Carnivero. I prefer the darker/more red and tubby pitchers. It'd be interesting to see what a cross between N. ramispina and N. naga x mira would look like.

Working on (meaning "spending money" ) getting a IKEA converted grow cabinet for the current collection that I will have to show y'all at some point to show I'm a somewhat competent grower.

So far, people haven't laughed me off the forum for growing highlanders in plastic storage bins. They've been doing well for a few years, asides from the one time I tried adding a fan and wound up creating a disaster. If that's okay with the people, then you are most certainly competent.

Recently got a N. naga x mira from carnivero. I also got an unknown Nepenthes from a Calloway's, which I believe is a ventricosa or some other easy to grow species. Poor things are kept in 2 inch pots and don't have a lot of room for their roots. I'll have to post a picture sometime this week.

For the N. aristolochioides x ventricosa I think I'll need to repot them early as there's a lot of algae on the LFS and one leaf on each plant is starting to turn black. Plus I think they'd do better in a bigger pot. I will spray them with the Bioadvanced 3-and-1 throughout the next few weeks and see if conditions improve before I repot them early. Kinda wish I had somewhere I could put all of the Nepenthes in hanging pots but not really a big deal.

One of the plantlet's of the "Trichterfalle x Coquillage" had succumbed to root rot that I didn't notice, but the other 2 are fine.

I put P. gigantea "Red" and P. "Aphrodite" on the wants, but I have those coming in from Rainbow Carnivorous Plants so I'll soon have my first Pings ever.

Thought I'd add the non carnivorous plants I have, too.

The alocasia is an office plant that I'm waiting to get a humidifier for. The other plants, that aren't mine, would appreciate it, too.

The succulent kind of looks like trailing jade, but not quite.

The basil plant is in an Aerogarden Sprout. The rosemary bush something I got as a Christmas gift.

Pings have been in for a few weeks and are doing well. Both are starting to get color.

Added a few Nepenthes hybrids I saw on Predatory Plants. Current collection is doing okay, just trying to get the aristolochioides x ventricosa over its hump of not producing pitchers.

Grow cabinet shelves finally shipped so that'll be exciting once I have the grow cabinet. Hopefully means I can buy more plants.

A lot of new plants since first posting this.

The cephalotus I have is great, although the slow growth is extremely annoying and I can't see to figure out which shelf on the cabinet (top shelf less humid and slightly warmer, 2nd shelf slight cooler and more humid) the guy likes to be. At first his non-carnivorous leaves turning red made me nervous, but he's fine. No signs of mold, mildew, or root rot, but I dusted him with Bonide sulfur fungicide anyway which wasn't necessary. Cleaned him off a little and give him some foliage fertilizer and a blood worm in the newest pitcher to make up for me babying him.

Pings are doing well. I did stress them by putting some hydrogen peroxide in their soil when they don't even need it, out of the sheer fear of browning heart. Some leaves got burned by splashing of the peroxide, but they're recovering and P. 'Aphrodite' is making more flowers despite that. I'd actually be really interested in getting some Alpine/American pings.

The two Nepenthes ampullaria 'Black Miracle"'s are doing well, despite being nearly cooked and in peat when they were shipped to me. They're starting to grow some new pitchers.

All of the outdoor plants, VTFs and my S. purpurea are someone staving off the sometimes over 100 degree temps. You'd think they'd be cooked but at most the traps the kill off dry up quicker. The traps they keep stay just fine. Part of that is probably from me watering them with the tray method and with water I keep in the fridge before I go to work and after I get home, sometimes even leaving the pitcher in the freezer. That way their roots stay a bit cooler.

I did find this online store that sells some carnivorous plants for fairly cheap. Whether the inexpensiveness is an indication of anything, I'm not sure.

As summer is coming to a close, I added a few more plants to my collection.

The two new nepenthes, maxima BE-3786 and robcantleyi x hamata should be very interesting!

I got a P. medusina who came in [ o n i o n m o d e ] so I've been keeping its medium dry after potting it. I'm interested if crossing it and my red gigantea would produce an unique cross, but I'll have to wait until next spring.

I saw the Carnivoria All Red Fused Tooth on Matt and Leah's store and I couldn't help but get one! Very good looking plant.

A bunch of plants are going to start going outside to get the heads up that it's time to start going to sleep for this part of the year, if it finally starts staying cooler here (below 90).

I put some orchids down in the wants as I'm interested in starting to grow those, mainly miniatures and ones in the Neofinetia/Vanda family. Crosses with Neofinetia would be very interesting as well!
