That's actually the opposite of what you should do if you're trying to keep humidity up.
Relative humidity is affected by temperature. The lower the temperature (nighttime), the higher the relative humidity. Higher temp (daytime), lower RH.

Ah well, I'll keep that in mind next time. My house is a bit messed up.

Tough love for Flytraps, they bounce back better. Drosera are like the wimpy kid that always got picked last in gym class, you gotta baby them.

They will get several inches tall and a few inches across. Of course, they will also produce plantlets so you might end up with a clump.

As far as the avatar, we will have to see if any of the old timers around here recognize this WWII German 'soldier'.

Is it normal for some of the older leaves to die when you move the plant to lower humidity?

It's normal for me. But then again I do the tough love method. (so close to 1000 posts!)

I had to take the bag off a while ago because the plant wouldn't fit in it, but the plant has exploded with life since then.

I can see lots of curled up leaves at the base ready to uncurl.
