So, what do you do when you order 25 Baby Flytraps from The Flytrap Store? You pot them in a 60 cell potting tray and plant the remaining 40 in anything you can find!

I am excited to see how these do this year. And with so many of them, I will be able to experiment to find out what works best for growing them in my environment.

@Panman: Careful or you'll end up like me, with hundreds of flytraps and no particular inclination to sell any (the more, the merrier!).

That is right! Some were very small, maybe 1/8 of an inch rhizome. Others were a good 1/4 inch or maybe a little more. I was very excited and a bit overwhelmed.

I ordered them the first time they were listed on the site. I've had them potted up for about a week and a half now. There are some interesting ones with red traps. I'll try to get some close ups.

I've got some friends in the area that will be more than happy to share with me. :D

Here are some close ups. The holes are 1 1/4 inch in diameter. The first three are the largest ones. Most of the extras were about the size of the last one or smaller.

Why would someone do that ? It seems like they will soon outgrow, and causing unnecessary stress for plants when they have to be transplanted a second time?
